Target Information
Sheep CCN family member 2 (CCN2), also known as connective tissue growth factor (CTGF), is a multifunctional protein that plays a significant role in the regulation of chondrogenesis and endochondral ossification in sheep. It promotes the proliferation and differentiation of chondrocytes, which are essential for cartilage formation and bone growth. CCN2 also contributes to the extracellular matrix formation and has been implicated in the protection against age-related degenerative changes in articular cartilage, suggesting its role as an anti-aging factor.
