Target Information

Mouse Trefoil Factor 3 (Tff3) is a peptide involved in mucosal repair and protection. In mice, Tff3 is highly expressed in the intestines and promotes epithelial cell restitution and wound healing. It plays a crucial role in maintaining intestinal barrier integrity and preventing inflammatory diseases. Tff3 interacts with mucins and extracellular matrix components to stabilize the mucosal lining. Its expression is induced by epithelial injury and inflammatory signals, making it important in the defense against gastrointestinal disorders.
