Target Information

In felines, cannabinoid receptor 1 (CNR1) is a G-protein-coupled receptor expressed in the central and peripheral nervous systems. It regulates neurotransmitter release by inhibiting adenylate cyclase activity, thereby modulating synaptic transmission. CNR1 also plays a role in anxiety regulation and neural resilience. Additionally, it is involved in fat synthesis and energy metabolism in adipose tissue.
