Target Information

Canine hepcidin is an acute phase protein with antimicrobial properties and a key role in iron regulation. It is suggested to be a mediator of anemia of chronic disease and is primarily expressed in the liver. Hepcidin is crucial for maintaining iron homeostasis and has implications in immune response and inflammation management.
