Target Information
Bone Morphogenetic Protein-2 (BMP-2) is a bone-growth regulatory factor that belongs to the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-beta) superfamily of proteins. BMPs are synthesized as large precursor molecules and are cleaved by proteolytic enzymes. Bone morphogenetic protein 2 is encoded by the BMP2 gene in dogs. The solubility of native BMP-2 is greatly dependent on its glycosylation.
Shipping and Storage
This product is shipped with dry ice. It is recommended to aliquote as needed and store at -20°C upon receipt. Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4°C for 1 week, at < -20°C for 3 months.
Documents
The product is for research use only.
