Mouse Peptidylprolyl Isomerase F (PPIF), also known as cyclophilin F, is a mitochondria-localized enzyme that catalyzes cis-trans isomerization of peptide bonds preceding proline residues. It is constitutively expressed in heart, liver, and skeletal muscle, where it facilitates folding of nascent mitochondrial proteins and regulates the permeability transition pore. PPIF is an important target for studying mitochondrial biology and related metabolic disorders in mouse models.
