Product Overview
BioVenic rabbit polyclonal antibody is specific for mouse coagulation factor XII. It is purified by protein A. It can be applied to WB, IHC, ICC and IP assays of mouse coagulation factor XII.
Specifications
Target Information
Mouse coagulation factor XII (FXII, Hageman factor) is an 80 kDa single-chain plasma glycoprotein that targets negatively charged surfaces, undergoing auto-activation to FXIIa and initiating the intrinsic coagulation and kallikrein-kinin cascades. Its N-terminal fibronectin-type and epidermal-growth-factor domains present unique, species-restricted epitopes ideal for antibody generation; anti-FXII immunoreagents detect both zymogen and activated forms in plasma, tissue homogenates and contact-activated samples without cross-reacting with other coagulation factors, providing a precise read-out of contact-pathway activity and inflammatory signaling.
Shipping and Storage
This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
