Target Information

Sphingosine 1-phosphate receptor 5 (S1PR5) is a member of the sphingosine-1-phosphate receptor family, which consists of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) that interact with the lipid signaling molecule sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P). S1PR5 is expressed in various tissues, with the highest density found on leukocytes. While S1PR1, S1PR2, and S1PR3 are expressed ubiquitously, the expression of S1PR4 and S1PR5 is less widespread. Sphingosine 1-phosphate Receptor 5 is encoded by the S1PR5 gene in pigs.
