Target Information

PFN4 is one of the vegetative isoforms of profilins. It is involved in actin dynamics, which is critical for various cellular processes such as cell elongation, cell division, and cytoplasmic streaming. Overexpression of PFN4 can lead to a dwarf phenotype in seedlings due to reduced cell length and rearrangement of F-actin. Bovine Profilin-4 is encoded by the PFN4 gene in cattle. It is involved in the regulation of actin cytoskeleton in a bovine model.
