Target Information

FK506-binding protein-like may play a role in the response to X-ray exposure and regulates the stability of the p21 protein by interacting with Hsp90 and p21. FKBPL is a potent anti-angiogenic factor that operates by targeting the CD44 pathway. In mouse models, the absence of FKBPL results in abnormal embryonic development, characterized by vascular development defects and embryonic lethality. FKBPL demonstrates significant anti-angiogenic effects in both physiological and pathological conditions by inhibiting endothelial cell migration and angiogenesis. For instance, in mouse tumor xenograft models, overexpression of FKBPL can suppress tumor angiogenesis, whereas its inhibition accelerates the angiogenic process.
