Target Information
Interleukin-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1RA) is a protein encoded by the IL1RN gene. This protein inhibits the activities of interleukin-1α (IL1A) and interleukin-1β (IL1B) and regulates a variety of interleukin-1-related immune and inflammatory responses. Research showed that both full-length structural variants of chicken IL-1RN exhibited biological activity similar to their mammalian orthologs in a macrophage cell line bioassay.
