Target Information
Bovine Prolyl 4-Hydroxylase Subunit Alpha-1 is encoded by the P4HA1 gene in cattle. This gene encodes a component of prolyl 4-hydroxylase, a key enzyme in collagen synthesis. The enzyme is composed of two identical alpha subunits and two beta subunits. It is a main isoform of the P4HA subunits. Primarily, it is expressed in the testis and placenta and is involved in peptide bond formation and protein scaffolding.
