Target Information
Lysophosphatidic Acid Receptor 1 (LPAR1), also known as LPA1, is a protein encoded by the LPAR1 gene in cattle. LPA1 belongs to the G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) family. It is abundant in the brain and is typically found in the presynaptic terminals of neurons. Research has shown that the LPAR1 splicing mutation has a significant effect on semen quality and should be considered as a new marker for semen quality in Holstein-Friesian bulls.
