Target Information
Bovine Lysosomal-Associated Transmembrane Protein 4B is encoded by the LAPTM4B gene in cattle. It is a member of the lysosome-associated transmembrane protein superfamily. Research has shown that that bovine LAPTM4B in granulosa cells is present in both unubiquinated and ubiquinated forms. LAPTM4B also functions as a carboxypeptidase and can deamidate tachykinins. Deficiency of LAPTM4B leads to a lysosomal storage disease called Schindler disease.
