Target Information

Bovine Aspartyl/Asparaginyl Beta-Hydroxylase is encoded by the ASPH gene in cattle. ASPH is an alpha-ketoglutarate-dependent hydroxylase, a superfamily non-haem iron-containing proteins. This gene is thought to play an important role in calcium homeostasis. It specifically hydroxylates 1 Asp or Asn residue in certain epidermal growth factor-like domains of a number of proteins, and it has been previously purified to apparent homogeneity from detergent-solubilized bovine liver microsomes.

Target/Biomarker Bovine ASPH
Target Synonym Aspartyl/asparaginyl beta-hydroxylase; aspartate beta-hydroxylase; ASP beta-hydroxylase; peptide-aspartate beta-dioxygenase; ASPH; 1.14.11.16
