Target Information
HSP70 is a molecular chaperone protein that provides protection under cellular stress by binding to substrate proteins, thereby stabilizing their structure and preventing aggregation or degradation. This protein is crucial for liver regeneration in mice following partial liver resection. Research indicates that mice lacking HSP70 exhibit significantly reduced liver regeneration capacity, have a lower liver weight-to-body weight ratio compared to wild-type mice, and show decreased expression of the inflammatory factor TNF-α. In mice, HSP70 functions in a variety of ways, including protecting cells from stress, promoting tissue repair, regulating immune responses, inhibiting inflammation, and assisting in neuroprotection. Moreover, HSP70 plays a role in regulating intracellular water balance by interacting with molecules like Aquaporin-2.
