Bovine RAC-Alpha Serine/Threonine-Protein Kinase is encoded by the AKT1 gene in cattle. It is a serine-threonine protein kinase that plays essential roles in cellular processes. AKT1 is activated by various signals, including platelet-derived growth factor. It regulates cell survival by preventing programmed cell death. It is involved in insulin signaling. Research has shown that SPP1 can decrease MSTN expression through AKT1 signaling.
