Target Information
Rabbit Transforming Growth Factor Beta-3 Proprotein (TGFB3) is a precursor protein that gives rise to the Latency-associated peptide (LAP) and the active Transforming Growth Factor Beta-3 (TGF-β3) chain. TGF-β3 is a multifunctional protein that plays crucial roles in embryogenesis, cell differentiation, and tissue repair. It is particularly important for processes such as secondary palate development and wound healing. TGF-β3 is activated from its latent form through interactions with integrins and other milieu molecules, which distort the LAP and release the active TGF-β3. Once activated, TGF-β3 binds to TGF-β receptors (TGFBR1 and TGFBR2) to transduce signals that regulate various cellular processes.
