Target Information

Mouse Midkine (Mdk) is a multifunctional heparin-binding growth factor and cytokine, playing roles in embryonic development, tissue repair, inflammation, and cancer. It promotes cell proliferation, migration, survival, and angiogenesis. Mdk is highly expressed during embryogenesis and is involved in neurogenesis, epithelial tissue formation, and mesoderm remodeling. In adult tissues, Mdk expression increases in response to injury and disease.
