Target Information

Chicken bone morphogenetic protein 5 (BMP5) is a member of the TGF-β superfamily. It plays important roles in bone and cartilage development, as well as in the differentiation of osteoprogenitor mesenchymal cells. BMP5 also enhances FGF8 activity while inhibiting BMP5 and WNT3a signaling.
