Target Information
Bovine retinol binding protein 1 (RBP1) is a crucial protein involved in the transport of vitamin A, or retinol, within the Bovine body. RBP1 binds retinol and transports it to target tissues, including the retina, where it plays a vital role in vision. In cattle, RBP1 ensures that retinol is delivered to the eye, where it participates in the visual cycle, ensuring the regeneration of visual pigments and maintaining retinal health. The protein is also essential for the proper development and function of the reproductive, immune, and respiratory systems, as well as other tissues that rely on retinol for their normal functioning.
