Target Information
Reverse triiodothyronine (rT3) is a 651-Da thyroid metabolite whose 3,3',5'-triiodo configuration blocks thyroid-hormone receptors, acting as a natural T3 antagonist. A solvent-exposed 5-aa "KVE" hapten (3,3',5'-triiodothyronine) linked to carrier proteins presents a fixation-stable epitope unique among thyroid hormone analogs. Antibodies to this conjugate detect rT3 in serum, hepatic cytosol and placental extracts, yielding crisp intracellular staining and single-band blots without cross-reaction to T3 or T4.
Shipping and Storage
This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
