Target Information

Rat Paraoxonase 1 is an enzyme that hydrolyzes organophosphates and protects against oxidative stress. It is primarily produced in the liver and circulates in the bloodstream, where it associates with high-density lipoproteins (HDL). PON1 plays a key role in detoxifying lipid peroxides and preventing the oxidation of low-density lipoproteins (LDL), contributing to cardiovascular health. It also has anti-inflammatory properties and is involved in maintaining lipid homeostasis.
