Target Information
Porcine apolipoprotein A2 (APOA2) is a key protein involved in lipid metabolism, particularly in the transport and regulation of triglycerides, fatty acids, and glucose. It is encoded by the APOA2 gene located on pig chromosome 4 and is the second most abundant protein in high-density lipoproteins (HDL) in porcine plasma. With a molecular weight of approximately 36.2 kDa, porcine APOA2 contains 77 amino acids in its mature form. It can exist as a monomer or form homodimers linked by disulfide bonds through a cysteine residue.
