Target Information
Mouse Semaphorin 3E (SEMA3E) is a secreted protein that belongs to the semaphorin family. It plays a critical role in axon guidance during neuronal development by repelling axonal growth cones. SEMA3E acts through its receptor Plexin-D1, which is expressed on the surface of neurons and endothelial cells. This interaction modulates cytoskeletal dynamics, influencing neuronal pathfinding and vascular development. SEMA3E is also involved in immune cell migration and angiogenesis, making it an important regulator of both nervous and vascular systems.
