Mouse Myeloid Differentiation Factor 88 (MyD88) is an adaptor protein involved in the signaling pathways of Toll-like receptors (TLRs) and interleukin-1 receptor (IL-1R). It plays a crucial role in innate immunity by mediating the activation of downstream signaling cascades that lead to the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and type I interferons. MyD88 is essential for the recognition of pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) and the initiation of immune responses. In mice, this protein is vital for maintaining immune homeostasis and defending against infections.
