Target Information
Mouse keratin 28 (K28) is a type II intermediate filament protein of the keratin family. It features a conserved central α-helical rod domain, N-terminal and C-terminal non-helical head-tail domains, and dimerization motifs critical for structural integrity. It localizes to the cytoskeleton of simple epithelial cells, with tissue-specific expression in mouse intestinal mucosa, glandular epithelia and respiratory tract linings, with negligible levels in stratified epithelial and non-epithelial tissues. The protein mediates cytoskeletal network assembly and cell mechanical support, with conserved motifs for heterodimer formation with type I keratins. Mouse K28 shares core structural features with mammalian orthologs, and has distinct tissue specificity differentiating it from K8 and K18.

This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
