Target Information
Mouse Doublecortin (DCX) is a microtubule-associated protein involved in neuronal development and migration. It is expressed in immature neurons, where it stabilizes microtubules and promotes axonal outgrowth. DCX plays a crucial role in the proper positioning of neurons during brain development. Its expression is also observed in adult neurogenesis, particularly in the hippocampus. DCX is an important marker for studying neuronal differentiation, neural circuit formation, and neurodevelopmental disorders in mouse models.
