Target Information
Mouse high molecular weight kininogen (HMWK) is a multi-domain plasma glycoprotein, a core component of the contact activation system and coagulation cascade. It features three conserved cysteine-rich domains, a central kininogen domain for bradykinin generation, and a C-terminal histidine-rich region critical for binding to serine proteases and cell surfaces. It localizes predominantly to the circulation of mouse systemic vascular systems, with negligible expression in solid tissues under physiological conditions. The protein mediates protein-protein interactions in hemostatic pathways, with conserved structural motifs differentiating it from low molecular weight kininogen (LMWK).
