Target Information
Hyaluronic acid is a 1 MDa linear glycosaminoglycan whose repeating disaccharide β1,4-GlcUA-β1,3-GlcNAc chains form hydrated matrices, driving tissue hydration and cell motility. A solvent-exposed 6-aa "KVE" sequence (GlcUA-GlcNAc)3 conjugated to carrier proteins presents a fixation-stable epitope unique among glycans. Antibodies to this hapten detect native HA in synovial fluid, dermal extracellular matrix and tumor stroma, yielding crisp extracellular trails and single-band blots without cross-reaction to chondroitin or heparan sulfate.
Shipping and Storage
This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
