11-Hydroxyprogesterone is a 346-Da steroid whose 11β-hydroxy and 3-oxo-Δ4 groups form a unique hapten; a solvent-exposed 5-aa "KVE" motif (11β-hydroxy-pregn-4-ene-3,20-dione) linked to carrier presents a fixation-stable epitope unique among progestogens. Antibodies to this conjugate detect 11-OHP in serum, adrenal extracts and cell culture, yielding crisp intracellular staining and single-band blots without cross-reaction to progesterone or corticosterone.

This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
