Target Information
Endothelin-1 Receptor is encoded by the EDNRA gene in pigs. It is a subtype of endothelin receptors. When endothelin binds to ETA receptors, it leads to: Vasoconstriction (contraction of blood vessel walls) and retention of sodium, contributing to increased blood pressure. It is a member of EDN receptors. It was found to be localized on large luteal cells in the porcine corpora lutea.
