Target Information

Rat CR2 is a single-pass transmembrane surface protein with conserved extracellular complement-binding domains and short cytoplasmic tail segments that maintain steady structural conformation under physiological environments. It anchors on plasma membranes of mature B lymphocyte populations within lymphoid tissues. Its membrane-bound ligand-recognition architecture and immune-lineage restricted expression distinguish it from soluble secreted signaling factors, cytoplasmic scaffold adaptors and intranuclear transcriptional regulators with simplified single-domain assemblies and static single-compartment subcellular localization profiles.
