Target Information
Actin Beta (ACTB) is a highly conserved protein involved in cell motility, structure, and integrity. Actin exists in both monomeric (G-actin) and polymeric (F-actin) forms. Both forms play key functions, such as cell motility, contraction, and cytoskeleton maintenance. Actin also localizes in the nucleus, where it regulates gene transcription and DNA repair. It can be proposed as a reference gene panel for accurate normalisation of quantitative data for normal equine skin.
