Target Information

Ceramides are a group of waxy lipid molecules made up of sphingosine and a fatty acid linked by an amide bond. They form the primary lipid component of the lamellar sheets located between cells in the stratum corneum. These sheets are believed to contribute to the skin's barrier function in the epidermis.
