Target Information
Oncoprotein Induced Transcript 3 (OIT3), also known as Liver-Specific Zona Pellucida Domain-Containing Protein 3 (LZP), is a protein encoded by the OIT3 gene in cattle. OIT3 was initially identified due to its downregulation in hepatocellular carcinomas (HCC). It has been found to be correlated with calcium ion binding to maintain the homeostasis of cellular Ca2+ and to be regulated by several transcription factors.
