Target Information

Bovine Glutathione Peroxidase 3 is encoded by the GPX3 gene in cattle. It belongs to the glutathione peroxidase family and plays a crucial role in detoxifying hydrogen peroxide. It acts as an antioxidant enzyme, scavenging reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the body. It has been revealed that both GPx1 and GPx3 are synthesized by bovine mammary epithelial cells and localized in the cytoplasm and nucleus.
