Target Information

D-aspartate oxidase (DDO) is an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of D-aspartate to oxaloacetate, along with the production of ammonia and hydrogen peroxide. This enzyme belongs to the FAD-dependent oxidoreductase family and specifically acts on the CH-NH₂ group of donors, using oxygen as an acceptor. Bovine D-Aspartate Oxidase is encoded by the DDO gene in cattle. D-aspartate oxidase from beef kidney cortex is a monomer with a molecular weight of 39,000 containing 1 molecule of flavin.
