Target Information

Fibroblast growth factor receptor 1 (FGFR1), also known as basic fibroblast growth factor receptor 1, fms-related tyrosine kinase-2 (Pfeiffer syndrome), and CD331, is a receptor tyrosine kinase that interacts with specific members of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family. Fibroblast growth factor receptor 1 is encoded by the FGFR1 gene in pigs. In porcine ovarian follicles and granulosa cells (GCs), FGFR1 was found to be expressed exclusively in GCs of follicles, and the mRNA and protein levels of FGFR1 increased significantly from small to large follicles.
