Target Information

Transforming growth factor-beta 1 (TGF-β1), also known as TGF-beta 1, is a polypeptide member of the transforming growth factor beta superfamily of cytokines. TGF-β1 is encoded by the TGFB1 gene in sheep. TGFB1 is associated with cell growth, proliferation, and differentiation. Research has shown that progesterone supplementation during the first follicular wave of the estrous cycle improves embryo viability and alters TGFB1 gene expression.
