Target Information

Ribavirin is an antiviral medication with broad-spectrum effectiveness against both RNA and DNA viruses, including hepatitis C, herpes-viruses, adenovirus, poxvirus, influenza A and B, respiratory syncytial virus, parainfluenza virus, measles, arenavirus, bunyavirus, and HIV. In vitro studies have shown it has significant antiviral activity against canine distemper virus, canine parainfluenza virus, feline calicivirus, and feline infectious peritonitis virus.
