Target Information

Tetracyclines represent a class of broad-spectrum antibiotics characterized by a shared basic structure. They are either directly derived from various Streptomyces bacteria species or semi-synthetically manufactured from these derived compounds. Tetracyclines are one of the most affordable antibiotic classes and have been widely utilized for both preventing and treating infections in humans and animals. They have been employed at subtherapeutic doses in animal feed to promote growth.
