Target Information
Rabbit Stromelysin-1 (MMP3), also known as matrix metalloproteinase-3, is a key enzyme involved in the degradation of extracellular matrix components, such as collagen types II, III, IV, IX, and X, as well as fibronectin, laminin, and elastin. It plays a crucial role in tissue remodeling, wound healing, and inflammation. MMP3 is also involved in the activation of other MMPs, such as MMP-1, -7, and -9, contributing to connective tissue remodeling. In rabbits, MMP3 is used to study its effects on tissue repair and inflammation, making it valuable for research in these areas.
