Target Information
Mouse Fibrinogen-Like Protein 1 (Fgl1) is a multifunctional protein implicated in both liver regeneration and immune regulation. It acts as a growth factor for liver cells, promoting DNA synthesis and cell proliferation during liver regeneration. Fgl1 also serves as a key immune checkpoint ligand by binding to LAG3, which inhibits antigen-specific T cell activation and contributes to immune evasion in cancer. Elevated Fgl1 levels are associated with resistance to PD-1/PD-L1-blockade therapy and poor prognosis in cancer patients. In mouse models, Fgl1 inhibition has shown synergistic effects with PD-1 blockade in suppressing tumor growth. Additionally, Fgl1 is involved in liver fibrosis, with its expression correlating with the degree of fibrosis.
