Target Information
Rabbit SPARC (Secreted Protein Acidic and Rich in Cysteine) is a matricellular protein that modifies cell interactions with the extracellular matrix (ECM). It plays a significant role in tissue remodeling, wound healing, and cell proliferation. In rabbits, SPARC is synthesized by various cell types, including chondrocytes and endothelial cells, and is involved in cartilage and bone development. SPARC also influences cell shape and migration, which are critical for tissue repair and angiogenesis. Additionally, it has been implicated in immune responses and cancer progression, making it a target for therapeutic research. Its ability to modulate cell-ECM interactions and cytokine signaling highlights its importance in maintaining tissue integrity and function.
