Target Information

Rat tight junction associated protein 1, peripheral (TJP1) is a conserved cytoplasmic scaffolding protein with a stable multi-domain structural fold. It is predominantly located at cell-cell contact sites and associates closely with plasma membrane tight junction complexes. This protein maintains favorable molecular stability and structural integrity under physiological conditions. Its peripheral membrane and junctional localization clearly differentiates it from nuclear, mitochondrial, and secretory proteins.
