Target Information

Rat CD8B is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein composed of conserved extracellular immunoglobulin-like domains and a short cytoplasmic tail. It maintains steady molecular folding and intact protein-interacting motifs under physiological conditions, predominantly expressed on the surface of T lymphocyte subsets. Its membrane-anchored immunoglobulin fold and exclusive lymphocytic distribution differentiate it from soluble secreted peptides, cytoplasmic metabolic enzymes and intranuclear regulatory proteins with simpler structural frameworks and distinct subcellular localization profiles.
