Target Information
Mouse Thymus Activation-Regulated Chemokine (TARC), also known as CCL17, is a chemokine involved in immune cell migration and activation. It is produced by various cell types, including dendritic cells and macrophages, and plays a key role in recruiting Th2 cells to sites of inflammation. TARC is also implicated in the regulation of allergic responses and the development of immune tolerance. Its expression is tightly regulated and can be modulated by cytokines and other immune signals. TARC is an important target for studying Th2-mediated immune responses and inflammatory processes in mouse models.
