Target Information
Mouse intestinal cell kinase (ICK) is a serine/threonine kinase of the CDC2-like kinase family, a core regulator of intestinal epithelial cell proliferation and differentiation. It features a conserved N-terminal kinase domain with ATP-binding motif, a C-terminal serine-rich region, and structural motifs critical for substrate phosphorylation and enzyme activation. It localizes to the cytoplasm and nucleus of mouse intestinal crypt and villus epithelial cells, with negligible levels in non-intestinal tissues. The protein mediates Wnt signaling pathway modulation, with conserved motifs for binding to cytoskeletal and scaffolding proteins. Mouse ICK shares core functional domains with mammalian orthologs, and has distinct tissue specificity differentiating it from other CDC2-like kinases.
