Target Information
Mouse ITGB4 is a large transmembrane adhesion subunit with conserved extracellular integrin and cytoplasmic signaling domains that maintain stable protein conformation under physiological conditions. It highly concentrates on basal surfaces of epithelial cell populations and forms heterodimer complexes with alpha integrin partners. Its multi-domain cell anchoring structure and epithelium-specific enrichment differentiate it from soluble secreted matrix factors, cytoplasmic signal adaptors and chromatin-binding nuclear transcriptional regulators with simplified single-domain assemblies and ubiquitous expression across diverse somatic tissues.
